What do you think of my views on Gay Marriage?--Extra info, I voted for Barack and am happy he won.?

Marriage is a sacred institution between a male and a female for the purpose that they may join together at the hips and become one bearing fruit and multiplying. s are unable to join together at the hips as it is impossible for 2 males or 2 females to do so as the parts simply do not fit, nor are they able to bear fruit. Therefore the idea and concept of ual marriage is mute and void. It has nothing to do with being prejudice against gays, it has nothing to do with invading anyone's rights. It’s just a simple fact. Furthermore, while we on the subject of ity, should our men and women in uniform have to wonder whether the person they are sleeping next to, their bunk mate, is gay or not, whether or not they are looking at them in a ual manner. My argument is not a religious argument, it’s a factual argument, 2 gays cannot reproduce period. There is no difference what so ever between putting a ual in with others of the same as bunk mates, and forcing men and women who are straight to be bunk mates. It is immoral and wrong. That is not the way our military should conduct itself. I'm a liberal and believe government does not belong in the bedroom or in a uterus, but how we define marriage is more than a social thing. It's an economic thing, too. Just one example (of many) are tax policies. If gay marriage became accepted nation-wide, any two people could get together to benefit from filing their taxes jointly. Any two people could share a house and claim family tax credits if at least one has children. It's just not a workable policy. A distinction needs to be made to eliminate abuse--and that's not a hit on gays. It's just pragmatism.
