Is there a point of voting???

First off, let me say that I am a Florida resident, and 8 years ago, I did vote for Al Gore. Obviously, with Florida having the deciding vote and the governor of our wonderful state being GW's brother, the electoral vote went to Bush, even though, the popular vote was for Gore. This past March I voted for Hillary who won the state of Florida in the primaries, yet neither Florida's nor Michigan's vote counted towards her democratic nomination... I understand the politics behind this; however, is there really a point to voting?????
