Does anyone know anything about follicle sizes?

I had an ultrasound on Monday and they said my follicle size was only 1.1 and that I should ovulate sometime this week. Does anyone know how many days it should take for it to get mature enough for the egg to drop? I go back on Friday to see if I ovulated.
