Where should I go to buy a ferret in or around upstate SC?

After my dog ped away a while ago, I'm finally ready to get a new pet. My husband and I discussed many things and we really would like to get a ferret, seeing as I've always wanted one and he had them when he was a child. I just don't want to buy one from the wrong person or pet store. Thanks!
